The PIT ROW (aka Pit Road or Pit Lane) kit comes with multiple features; 10 stall marble pit spaces with a spot in front to display the racing marbles, a functioning pit passthrough for those occasional race cautions, a clear wall to provide full visibility to the marbles in Pit Row, a team & spectator platform above, designed for manual and/or electronic functioning gates, and signage engraved on the back wall (can be flipped for no signage). The design allows you to connect the Marble Spectator Stands to either side of the pit row or they can be placed on top (see pictures). A new clip has been designed to connect the spectator stands to the track and can be used with the Pit Row kit also. No other special requirements to attach the stands to pit row, just use the standard clips. If you place a large number of stands along with the pit row, you will need to support the stands from underneath.
Pit Row is the same length as a Long Straight or 2 standard straights and can be used with all MARBLTRAK modular racing system pieces to create interesting racing venues.
Functioning Gates: * Manual Setup: all the parts needed to create the functioning gates are provided in this kit, including the rubber band and M3 screw and locking nut. The parts are located on the "Left Gate" and "Right Gate - Punch Cards". Each punch card is unique so be sure not to mix the parts together. * Electronic Setup: the kits comes with a servo mount for a micro servo (sized for a Hitech HS-81 Servo) as well as a standard size servo. The servo mount can be installed in place of the rubber band feature. You will need to create the connection between the servo horn and the push/pull rod provided. Small holes are cut into the push rod to help with this connection. All other electronic requirements (controller for the server, power supply, receiver, etc) will be your responsibility. _____
IMPORTANT NOTE: ****** ****** ****** THIS TRACK WILL ARRIVE UNASSEMBLED. You will need to install and glue the side rails to the track as well as other pieces if you get any of the add-on items. A DO IT YOURSELF (DIY) Kit. You will also need to supply your own marbles.
