Building a marble track layout can be challenging. You have to get the correct slope as well as make the track level from side to side so the marbles run down the track properly. After building lots of different tracks I’ve found this little tool to be a great help. In fact I don’t build tracks without it.
The Circle Level is great because it’s small and fits easily on the track and gives you a 360 degree reading. Keeping the slope between 2 and 4 degrees downhill will give you a smooth running marble racetrack. Keeping the bubble in the middle for your left and right readings will allow the marbles to race all across the track and not just hug the rails.
